Tech Design

This course is taught by either Mrs. Yurko or Mrs. Lemus. The Design Tech class will be learning about the technical areas that help get shows off of the paper and on to the stage.  They go behind-the-scenes “drama style”, learning how to design lighting and costuming for the stage.  Students will analyze scripts, help to build sets, and work with stage make up.  We explore creative design through a variety of hands on projects that allow students to collaborate with peers, problem solve daily, and manage their time. The students also participate in the HC Players production by helping with all of the technical aspect of the shows.  Students in both classes will participate in all of the same activities, but not always at the same time. Get ready, tech is lots of fun!
