I am excited about you being in my class this year, and I look forward to getting to know you! In 2000, I began teaching in the Dallas area and was blessed to start working at Hill Country Middle School in 2008. I have taught sixth, seventh, and eighth grade English at both the grade level and Pre AP levels. I earned my BA from Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and my certification from University of Texas-Dallas, and becasue of that, I have a difficult time picking a team for my cheers, but I am always up for a good game.
When I'm not at school, I love to spend time with my friends, get lost in a great book, walk at Town Lake, travel to a new location in the world, or drive to spend time with my family.
The world is big whether it is in words, destinations, or people; I want to see, go, and meet them all! In the times when I am out and about, my pup, Matthew, spends time with his pupper-brother, Jack, and my two nieces (they are fantastic puppy-sitters!).
From day one, I am thankful for each of my students and am so glad I will have the whole year to get to know them. Everyone is unique, special, and important to our class community.
