Welcome~ 

As parents we naturally hope that our children are well and whole in this world, happy, and thriving.  As a teacher and advocate for your child's well-being,  I honor this hope and realize that this may look different for each child and family.  I feel delighted and honored to work with my students and to be a teacher of Special Education at Eanes Elementary School!  As a part of a community of dedicated and diverse educators, I feel confident that your child and the children at our school are in good hands.  Together, we have the opportunity to create a really excellent pathway for the children we teach and the families we support. 

This 2023-24 school year marks my 7th. year working within the Eanes school district. I began my path in education in 2000 certifying in and conducting small group classes in the Bates Method which centers on methods of activating whole brain engagement in learning for all ages.  While my now college-attending daughter was a student in the district, I worked with students across all grades levels and most subjects as a substitute teacher within EISD. I discovered a passion for teaching and working directly with students in the classroom. Utilizing my degree and background in English and previous related work, I became a Texas certified teacher through a mentored clinical teaching program at West Ridge Middle School in tandem with ACC. I taught English Language Arts and Reading there to general education and special education students and also worked on the WHS campus in a behavior managed setting.  This 2023-24 school year is my second year at Eanes Elementary serving elementary students as a Special Education Collaborative Teacher.  

It is my sincere goal to provide an inspiring, warm, and supportive learning environment for the children I work with at Eanes Elementary.  To the best of my ability, I will strive to meet my students right where they are as an advocate beside them, guiding them to thrive as a whole young person toward their greatest potentials.
