Español 1A

Course Overview

Spanish 1A is a highly structured academic elective.  This high school course emphasizes the development and reinforcement of the language in the four basic skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.  It also includes the study of cultures of Spanish-speaking countries.  Class participation is essential toward the development of oral proficiency. Spanish 1A is a highly communicative class, using the target language the majority of class time. Preparation time outside of class for this course is approximately 15-20 minutes daily.
