welcome to 4th grade!

This is my 17th year in education and my 4th year at Bridge Point Elementary. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and now 4th grade.

I was born and raised in Connecticut, where I attended the University of Connecticut (UConn) and earned dual bachelor's degrees in Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology. I later earned my Master's degree in Elementary Education from the University of New Haven. After meeting my husband, Frank, I moved to Long Island, New York, where we lived for 12 years. During that time, I completed an Advanced Master's Certificate in Educational Technology and a TESOL program through Stony Brook University. This past summer, I also completed my Principal as an Instructional Leader Certification through The University of Texas.

My husband, Frank, and I have three wonderful children. Lailah is eight years old and will be a third grader here at BPE, Maren is six and will be in first grade, and Joshua recently turned four and attends the preschool at Forest Trail!

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family, swimming, hiking, and exploring Austin. I also love reading, baking, caring for my plants, finding great coffee shops, strength training, riding my Peloton, trying new restaurants, and just about anything that makes me laugh.
