welcome to 3rd grade!

Hello!  My name is Eileen Kazanecki and I am very excited to be joining Bridge Point Elementary this year!  I have been in education for 14 years and I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade and I've spent the last 7 years in 3rd grade.  I was born and raised in Connecticut, where I also attended the University of Connecticut.  I received a dual major in Human Development & Family Studies and Psychology.  I received a Master’s in Elementary Education from the University of New Haven, while completing an 18 month internship in their special education department.  

I met my husband, Frank, and moved to Long Island, New York.  Since I am passionate about lifelong learning, I continued my education and received an advanced Master’s degree in Educational Technology and also completed a TESOL program through Stony Brook University.  

All three of our children were born in NY: Lailah, who is 5 years old, and who will be attending BPE this fall!  Maren is three years old and Joshua will be one this August!  

My family and I enjoy swimming, going on hikes, and since we are brand new to Austin- exploring our new neighborhood and downtown!  I love reading, baking, plants, drinking excellent cups of coffee, lifting weights, going out to eat, being silly, and pretty much anything that makes me laugh.
