Welcome to 5th Grade! My name is Elizabeth Hudgins. I grew up in Austin and I attended Eanes Elementary as a child when it was only a K-2 school.
I attended college at the University of North Texas where I majored in Elementary Education.
This is my 20th year at Eanes Elementary, however it is my 24th year of teaching. I have taught 5th grade for 23 consecutive years. I previously taught for Lewisville ISD in Flower Mound, TX.
My husband and I have a 16 year old daughter, a 13 year old son, and two awesome dogs.
Some of my favorite things include: relaxing on the beach, baking, sewing, gardening (cut flowers), walking my dogs, participating in barbecue competitions, the Dallas (and Texas) Stars, Vanilla Lattes, Taco Deli Otto and Heather tacos with plenty of Doña sauce, and most of all teaching math!
I absolutely LOVE teaching 5th graders. It's a magical and amazing age! I am excited for a great year with you while watching my marvelous mathematicians wonder, learn, and grow!
