This year will be my 34th year teaching. I taught sixth grade ELA for 23 years, K/1 for one year, and music (vocal/performance/organizational specializing in A cappella ensembles) for nine.

After graduating from the University of Texas and starting my teaching career in Austin, I moved to Colorado for two years of teaching and then returned to Austin. I still go to Colorado every summer, and when my schedule allows I work summer camp in Estes Park at Cheley Colorado Camps, the number one summer camp in the nation.

Fun Facts: I won two international gold medals performing with Vocal Majority, one of the best choruses in the world. I love so many things at Trader Joe's especially the cookies like Dark Chocolate Chunk &  Almond. I don't really eat candy but love yummy baked goods (Nothing Bundt Cakes are great!) and all breads from Great Harvest Bread Company. I've coached all over the world including Germany, Spain, New Zealand, Australia 13 times, and throughout the United States. I was Teacher of the Year at Bailey M.S. in 2009-10. I was a trumpet player in the University of Texas Longhorn Band. I love the Peanuts comic strip! (You'll see my Peanuts Christmas shirts in December.)
