Hi Barton Creek Families! My name is Ella Coffey, and I am thrilled to be joining the BCE family this year! I teach Modified Math/Language Arts and 2nd Grade Collab.
I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Applied Learning and Development and a specialization in Special Education. I completed two years of student teaching rotations throughout the district and am so grateful to have spent one of those years at BCE getting to know the community and the school!
I am originally from Memphis, Tennessee where I grew up with my parents and two younger siblings, a brother and sister. I fell in love with Austin when I came here for school and couldn’t imagine leaving! When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Longhorns at football games, exploring new restaurants, or enjoying the outdoors.
Thank you for trusting me with your children. I’m excited to help your students reach their goals and shine both in and out of the classroom. My goal as an educator is to create a supportive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time throughout the year with questions. I believe that working together as a team for our students will make this year the best it can be!
