Welcome to 3rd grade!

My name is Erin Chamness and I am thrilled to be your child's  3rd grade teacher! This will be my 6th year teaching, and my 4th year teaching 3rd grade at FTE! I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor's in Elementary Education from Texas A&M University, and I am passionate about all things reading and literacy! I am constantly updating my classroom library with new and engaging books for my students to explore.

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors, spending time with friends and family and exploring Austin! I also enjoy traveling and spending time with my husband, Matt.

In my classroom, I hope to create an environment where students feel known, loved and challenged to discover and foster their knowledge, skills, talents and ambitions. I truly believe every child has the ability to learn and deserves the opportunity to gain a quality education and reach their unique goals. 

I am truly thankful to be a part of such a supportive and encouraging community of staff, students and families of Eanes ISD. I can't wait to get to know your incredible kiddos and begin a fantastic year of learning together!
