All instructional materials will be selected using the district process in accordance with Texas State law, Texas Education Agency guidelines, and Eanes ISD Board Policy. Teachers will be instrumental in the process of review and selection for grade levels/course instructional materials in their area(s) of expertise. Parents, students, and community members will be provided multiple opportunities to provide feedback during the selection process. The Board of Trustees shall approve final selections for new instructional materials selected and ratify the district’s certification of instructional materials.
January - February: Materials shared with teachers, counselors, administrators, and SSHAC
March-April: Materials shared with community; stakeholder feedback gathered
April: SSHAC recommendation; recommendation to School Board
During the 2022–23 school year, Eanes ISD will review the following subjects:
K-5 Health & Physical Education including topics requiring opt-in options: abuse and neglect, puberty and reproduction
QuaverEd Health/PE for Texas is the one resource for consideration

1) Via ZOOM on March 23 @ 4:30pm. Link Speakers must sign up by 12pm one day before the meeting.
2) In-person at April 5 SSHAC meeting @ 4:30pm at the Eanes ISD Central Administration Building @ 601 Camp Craft Road. Speakers must sign up by 12pm one day before the meeting.
Stakeholders may also use the feedback form to share input with our Curriculum team and SSHAC on this curriculum up for review. The feedback form closes on March 31, 2023.
