Mrs. Irene Hidalgo

My name is Irene Hidalgo and I am super excited to be on the fifth grade team again this year! This will be my 14th year teaching and my fourth year at Cedar Creek Elementary. My career started as a high school teacher in Austin and then eventually moved to elementary.  

This year I will teaching science to both traditional and Spanish immersion students and I will also be teaching 5th/6th math. 

I am an Austin native and when I am not teaching in the classroom I love hanging out with my family, spending time outdoors, eating at local restaurants and working out. My husband Dwayne and I enjoy watching our two sons, Diego (9th grade) and Isaiah (7th grade), play all the sports.
