Hello! My name is Colby Cobo, and I’m thrilled to be joining the first grade team at Cedar Creek Elementary! After spending the past seven wonderful years teaching at Barton Creek, I’m so excited to become part of the Eagle community this school year.

I’m originally from Chicago (Go Cubs) and moved to Austin eight years ago. I graduated from Indiana University (Go Hoosiers) with degrees in Apparel Merchandising, Business, and Spanish. Though I began my career in sales, I had always dreamed of becoming an educator. With a move to Austin on the horizon, I took a leap of faith and pursued that dream. I completed the Teacher Recruitment Program at Texas State University (Go Bobcats), where I earned both my teaching certification and a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I feel so fortunate to continue this journey at CCE!

Outside of school, I love spending time with my husband, Garrett, and our energetic four-year-old son, Milo. As a family, we enjoy hiking, listening to live music, traveling, and making the most of time spent with family and friends.

My goal as a teacher is to create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired to reach their full potential. I believe in encouraging students to share ideas, take risks, and have fun as they learn and grow.

I’m truly honored to be a part of your child’s educational journey, and I can’t wait to see all that we accomplish together this year. It’s going to be a great one!
