Welcome Eagles!

My name is Kate Campo and I am so excited to be your Kindergarten teacher at Cedar Creek Elementary. This is my 4th year at CCE and my 15th year teaching! I attended Sacred Heart University in CT, where I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and my Masters in Education. Post college, I became certified in Special Education and Dyslexia Intervention.

I was born and raised in New York until my husband and I moved to Texas in February of 2021. We absolutely love everything about Austin and the great state of Texas and are so excited to raise our two boys here — Jack (5.5 yrs old) and Austin (4 yrs old). This year is especially exciting as a Kinder teacher as Jack will join CCE and embark on his Kindergarten adventure so my mom heart and teacher heart are bursting with extra excitement!

In my spare time, my family and I enjoy being outdoors in any capacity. We love exploring all that Austin has to offer and discovering new places and things to do. I am very passionate about health and fitness and am a morning person who is up before school to get in a workout - whether it be a ride on the Peloton, pilates class or a lift at the gym!

While I have taught most every grade in elementary throughout my career, the majority of my teaching career has been in Kinder, where my heart absolutely lies. There truly is no better job in the world than being a teacher and watching children discover, learn and grow. I am so honored to be part of your child’s success and embark on their educational adventure, especially from the very beginning.
