About me

This is my 10th year teaching middle school science - I taught 2 years in Bastrop ISD at Cedar Creek Middle School, 6 years in Leander ISD at Four Points Middle School, and this will be my 2nd year teaching at Hill Country. I earned my B.A. in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Houston, and although I originally desired to do field research after University, I had the opportunity to be an educational aide at a middle school immediately after graduation, which steered my career path in a different direction. I learned that the need for students to be taught compassion, authenticity, and empathy is as equal as learning subatomic particles, the forces that change the Earth's surface, and energy transformations. I am looking forward to the growth each student will see this year!

A little more about me: 

I love hiking, i'm a novice kayaker, and I love plants. I also took 4 semesters of French but know very little now (use it or you'll lose it, right?), but every now and again, I bust out random phrases.
