Hi everyone! I am Nelinda Cantu. This will be my 22nd year in education. A couple of years ago I was an Instructional Coach in Austin ISD, but decided to come back to the classroom. I began my career in Austin ISD as a 2nd grade and kindergarten teacher, 17 years right here at Bridge Point, as a first and second grade teacher. I am grateful to be working in such a supportive community, and to be in a position where I can ignite kids’ imagination, instill a love for learning and most importantly to be a kind individual. 

Originally I am from Dallas, but Austin has been home for 22 years. 

Outside of teaching, my hobbies include practicing yoga, walking, listening to music, spending time with family and traveling as much as I can!
