Hi everyone! My name is Andrea Johnson. I am so excited to be teaching 2nd Grade at BPE this year! I am originally from Southern California, though I spent most of my childhood years growing up in Ethiopia. My teaching career began in Pre-K where I immediately fell in love with the classroom environment. I got to sub at this amazing school last year, and am so excited to now spend my first year teaching Elementary here! I prioritize making meaningful relationships with my students and using that as a foundation to build learning experiences off of. 

I have been in Austin for just over two years, and love all this city has to offer. I enjoy spending as much time as possible outside; swimming, hiking, exploring, and more. I love painting, scrapbooking, and almost any other creative outlet too. I look forward to the year of learning, growing, and fun we have ahead!
