About Me:

Hello, my name is Laura Stober.  I am so excited to be teaching second grade at Barton Creek Elementary School.  I was born and raised in Chicago.  After high school, I went to the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis.  My undergraduate degree is a B.S. in Child Psychology.  While completing my undergraduate degree, I was a D1 springboard and platform diver for the U of MN.  Additionally, I have an MBA from Texas State University.  Prior to becoming a mom of four, I taught middle school math at Lamar Middle School and I loved it.  

This year, I plan to create a classroom environment that is welcoming and inclusive.  I will foster growth, creativity, individuality and celebrating each other.  In my free time, I enjoy watching my kids play sports, cooking and spending time with our dogs.  My boys play football, basketball and baseball and my daughter is a competitive gymnast.
