Originally from upstate New York, I attended Wheaton College in Illinois and SUNY Plattsburgh. After a two month visit in 1995, I made Austin my home. I have two children, Amelia and Cullen.
Before staying home to rear my children, I spent eight years in multi-age classrooms, K-5. Most of this time was at NYOS Charter school where I mentored teachers, served on the board, and created individualized curriculum. While home with them, I coordinated Read Naturally, was a part-time K-2 interventionist, obtained certification as a wine educator and writer.
Returning to teaching in Kindergarten at Cedar Creek was such a wonderful experience, but I was very excited to move into a position with the CSS team. I have since completed Wilson Dyslexia Certification and several Math intervention trainings. Intervention has been a passion of mine and I am grateful to work with such a talented group of educators.
