Welcome to 4th grade!
I am thrilled to begin our year together! This will be my 18th year in Eanes. I am beginning my second year as a Blue Jay, and prior to that, I was at Bridge Point Elementary for 16 years.
I grew up in Houston, Texas and moved to Austin to attend college. I graduated from the University of Texas (College of Education) with a degree in Applied Learning and Development. I am certified in Early Childhood-8th grade and also hold my English as a Second Language (ESL) certification. After completing the Eanes year-long writing institute a few years ago, I became qualified to be a teacher consultant for the Central Texas Writing Project. Inspiring students to be lifelong readers and writers is a passion of mine! I was honored to be selected as Bridge Point's 2021-22 Educator of the Year, and I completed the Eanes Institute for Excellence last year to continue to grow as a leader on campus and in the district.
My husband, Ainsley, and I live near the Lakeway area with our 9 year old, Asher. Asher is a busy, fun-loving little boy, and I love being his mom! In my free time I enjoy reading, watching movies, doing crossword puzzles, exercising, listening to podcasts & audio books, and hanging out with my boys!
