Hello! My name is Kathryn Eliot and I am thrilled to be a first grade teacher at Barton Creek this year. This will be my second year teaching 1st grade at BCE. I also student taught in first grade at Barton Creek in the spring of 2022. I am so excited to be a part of this amazing team.

I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Master of Arts in Teaching. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Denver in English. Before pursuing my teaching license I was a paraprofessional in a kindergarten classroom in Denver Public Schools.

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. I love to be outside and surrounded by mountains. I also enjoy exploring all of the amazing things Austin has to offer. On the weekends you can find me taking my dog Pepper on a hike, reading, or trying a new restaurant.

This year is going to be amazing and I am so excited to get to know my students and their amazing families!
