About Me

Hello Everyone!

My name is Ashley Klick, and I’m so excited to be here at Westlake! I recently relocated to Austin from Indianapolis, IN, and I’m thrilled to join this vibrant community. I’m an Indiana University alumna, and I have a deep passion for continued learning both as a student and as an educator.

As a teacher, I believe that every student has a unique voice and perspective to share. My goal is to create a classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and empowered to express themselves creatively. I strive to foster a growth mindset, where challenges are seen as opportunities to learn and develop. I am committed to helping students explore their potential, not just as writers, but as critical thinkers, to prepare them for their next steps in their academic journey!
