About Me

Hello all! 

This is my 1st year at Westlake and my 5th year in education. I am originally from Tallahassee, Florida, and spent 3 years teaching in Chicago, Illinois. I  graduated from Florida State University with a B.A. in Theatre and English, and with an M.S. in Secondary English Education (go Noles!). I am deeply passionate about education, media literacy, and the English language. 

Outside of teaching, I love to read, practice yoga/meditation, spend time with my cats, travel with my family and fiancé, and watch Florida State football. 

I cannot wait to spend this school year learning alongside you! Go Chaps!
