Astronomy

Astronomy is a full year algebra-based course. Our study of Astronomy will include the following topics: developing a Cosmic Perspective, the celestial sphere, celestial timekeeping & navigation, the science of astronomy, motion, energy, gravity, light, matter, telescopes, planets, the solar system, space, time, the Sun, stars, star birth, star stuff, stellar graveyards, the Milky Way, galaxies, galactic evolution, modern cosmology, dark matter, dark energy, the fate of the universe, the beginning of time, and astrobiology.
