Uh oh! It's a remote learning day! Luckily, we don't have to be in the library to enjoy reading! Check out the activities below that you can try on your day away from Parkdale.
Go back to the Main Library Page and scroll down to Read Alouds. There are many read-aloud videos featuring Mr. Duff and some of his favorite picture books. Watch a couple of them! Or three or four! When you find one you really like, get a piece of paper and draw the book cover, a favorite character, or the best part of the book. You don't have to use one of Mr. Duff's videos for this activity. You can use one you have at your house, or you can look up a read-aloud video on YouTube. There are so many good ones! Be sure to write down the title and author of the book you choose.
A remote learning day is a perfect opportunity to just get in your daily reading time. Read your current library book for 20 minutes (or more!), or choose one from your personal collection.

If you're stuck for reading material, don't forget about Sora! Go to your East Aurora homepage and either scroll down or search for the Sora App. If prompted, click East Aurora Union Free School District, and you should be in. There are so many awesome e-books, magazines, and audiobooks, it's crazy! My personal choice would be to plug in my headphones and get lost in an audiobook for a while, but the choice is yours!

Ever check out our Student Authors page? If not, give it a look! It has tons of stories and comics from Parkdale students like you. After getting some inspiration, try making your own comic or story! If you bring it to Mr. Duff, it can be scanned and added to the website for everyone to read!
