Mr. Henry

About Me:

I am from McCleary and attended McCleary Elementary through fifth grade. I graduated from Elma and enlisted in the Marine Corps where I was on CH53D helicopters throughout my term of service. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, I attended Saint Martin's University and received my bachelor's degree in History. I student taught at Elma High School in history and civics, but ended up getting hired to teach manufacturing for the Career and Technical Education department as a result of my background in aviation maintenance. Through my Aircraft Manufacturing class, we have been able to pair up with major companies like Boeing to give students the skills needed by industry, and we have even been able to set some students up with jobs.

While my professional life prior to teaching existed primarily in aerospace, my primary pursuit outside of work has been in the area of strength and conditioning. I have been a competitive powerlifter, weightlifter, and strongman for the past fifteen years. Additionally, I have worked with many great professional coaches and athletes. I am currently pursuing a Master's in Human Performance with an emphasis on strength and conditioning from Liberty University. With this background I was able to add Sports Nutrition and Sports Science to my class load.
