COVID considerations

Why should I consider applying or serving with eagle rock at this time?

We are all adapting to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation. Though the impact of this pandemic is wide-reaching and affects all of us, we know that the disruption caused by the pandemic will disproportionately impact students and families in the systemically under-resourced communities Eagle Rock serves.

Now, more than ever, our students need people like you who believe in them and their future. Serving at Eagle Rock this year will be a unique and critical opportunity to help students reconnect with their school community, re-engage in their learning.

Additionally, this is an opportunity for you to gain professional experience and develop key skills that will help you in your career. These skills such as Teaching, Facilitation and Youth Work will help you stand out as you pursue your next opportunity after Eagle Rock.

What adjustments has Eagle Rock made due to the pandemic?

Eagle Rock continues to abide by guidance from local and national health officials to ensure that we are prioritizing the safety of our fellows and staff and reducing the likelihood of virus transmission on our campus.

How is Eagle Rock supporting fellows during the COVID-19 pandemic?

The safety and well-being of our fellows and the students they serve is our top priority. Our staff has continued to work to ensure fellows are being supported, both professionally and personally.

Eagle Rock provides appropriate personal protection equipment to fellows, staff, and students including facial coverings and sanitation materials to limit exposure to the virus.

Fellows will continue to receive their full weekly living stipends, health benefits, and educational loan deferrals during their service, regardless of how they are providing service to Eagle Rock.
