Our school libraries provide a rich environment for voluntary inquiry and independent learning. We are dedicated to promoting literacy while upholding our community's standards for appropriateness and transparency.
Visit EPISD Online Catalogs and select your child’s campus to browse available titles across our district's libraries.
See What Your Child is Reading: You can easily view a list of all the books your child currently has checked out, as well as their past reading history.
Review the step-by-step Access Guide in English/Spanish or watch the video guide.
EPISD respects that every family has different values. You can now instantly filter and block any books or resources in our catalog that you feel are not appropriate for your child. This ensures they cannot check out that specific material at school.
Watch the short video guide on the portal to learn how to select and block materials quickly.

Under Texas Education Code (TEC) §33.027, a parent, district employee, or person residing in a school district may submit a written reconsideration to any library material in a school’s library catalog. To submit a written reconsideration, an eligible individual must complete and submit the Library Materials Reconsideration Form.
File the Form: Complete and submit the official Library Materials Reconsideration Form to the Principal of the campus where the book is located.
Committee Review: A Library Material Review Committee will be formed. You will be invited to testify (speak) to the committee about your concerns.
Board Decision: The committee's report is sent to the EPISD Board of Trustees, who make the final decision on whether the material is kept or removed.
Notification & Appeal: You will receive a copy of the final decision. If you disagree, you have the right to appeal to the Board of Trustees by requesting the Library Materials Reconsideration Appeal Form from the Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction.
