We’re so glad you found us! This community is for anyone within the public sector interested in learning about - and applying - Google technology to support their work. To that end, we hope you will use it as a resource for questions, ideas or needs - and to support your peers by sharing tips you’ve discovered, approaches that have worked, or lessons you’ve learned.  

To create a safe space for sharing solutions, resources, and questions, we restrict membership to just those in public sector roles in government, education, research, and several others. We also include Googlers within our Global Public Sector Cloud organization to help with idea generation and problem solving.

We strive to create a supportive community that helps you find the people, ideas, and information you need to be successful. Thank you for your interest and the work you do!

Our community restricts access to member discussions, trainings, and events to ensure the requisite privacy and freedom needed for our public sector members to comfortably share, ask questions, learn and grow in relation to how they use technology to improve their work. These gates are informed by our members, who seek to avoid marketing pitches, and/or conflicts of interest in order to engage in the community. 

To verify eligibility, we manually review those who have requested membership by checking for a valid public sector email domain. We allow the following domains to join the community: .gov, .edu, .org*, and the equivalent for international governments and education institutions. If prospective members do not have one of these, we can use other processes, but this is our primary gating mechanism. 

While we do our best, we cannot guarantee 100% privacy. Please be aware that, by completing registration, you have agreed to Google's Community Guidelines. These guidelines specify that members treat data with care and not access, disclose, or disseminate private or sensitive information. Please still exercise best practice on what you do and don’t share, as you would anywhere else online.

If you are not directly employed by a government, education, research, or related public sector organization (or are not a supporting Googler), you will not be able to access the content of this community. However, we would like to allow you to submit your ideas for event presentations and other helpful content for our community members, which you can do by sending us an email.
