Dr. Duchscherer’s prior assignments include Project Lead the Way Grant Manager/ Statewide STEM Team Specialist at the Arkansas Department of Education, Instructional Technology Coordinator at the Jacksonville North Pulaski School District, Instructional Technology Coach at Lexington Traditional Magnet School, and multiple teaching positions across English, Social Studies, and Multimedia Production courses. Simultaneously she was consulting on educational technology and leadership topics across the USA, with large firms like Google, EdTechTeam, FriedTech, and her own firm (Techforyall). She holds a Doctorate in Educational Technology (with her dissertation focusing on content connected, NGSS based, STEM makerspace lesson design), an Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership, a Master’s in Education, and a Bachelor’s From CSU Chico in English Education. She also holds teaching credentials for District Administration, Building Administration, Instructional Technology, English Teaching 6-12th Grade, and Computer Science in Kentucky and Arkansas.

Mrs. Sarah Achziger comes to STARBASE Edwards with 10 years of STEM teaching experience spanning multiple disciplines. She has taught in local districts including Mojave Unified School District and Sierra Sands Unified School District. Additionally, she has taught for Cerro Coso Community College as an adjunct professor. She is highly trained in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) with an emphasis on curriculum integration and development. She holds a California Single Subject: Life Science teaching credential. Sarah received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Animal Science from California State University, Fresno, as well as a Master’s of Science in Science Education from California State University, Bakersfield. Sarah is a member of the National Science Teachers Association and California Association of Science Educators.

Mrs. Rachel Nichols is excited to continue her education career at STARBASE Edwards after having grown up in the surrounding area. Her previous 15 years experience in Mojave Unified School District included instructing 5th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades. She holds a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, including multiple authorizations, and a Single Subject Career Technical Education credential in Education, Child Development, and Family Services. She is a former adjunct professor at Cerro Coso Community College. Rachel received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from California State University Bakersfield, and has enjoyed continuing education classes at Antelope Valley College, and Cerro Coso Community College. She also holds her volunteer work in high regard including being a community volunteer for the SpaceShip One launches, and coaching for the California City High School Volleyball program. She holds a Google Educator Level 1 certification, and is continuing working on additional certifications.

Mrs. Talamantez is an Administrative professional with vast office management experience for private industries and public education. She arrived at Edwards Air Force Base in 2018 and have served as the Administrative Assistant for DoD STARBASE Edwards ever since. She is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Management.
