Description: STEAM is a course that integrates components of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. The course curriculum coordinates these areas of study in a multidisciplinary way, as they are integrated in the professional and academic world. Students will learn and apply technological skills to solve problems, communicate with others, develop creativity and collaboration, teach, learn, entertain, and inspire. Additionally, they will be engaged through hands-on activities, combining two or more disciplines.

Description: Beyond nurturing artistic talents, our Arts & Crafts class promotes problem-solving, critical thinking, and the joy of creative processes. Students engage in a hands-on creative experience, exploring various mediums like painting, drawing, and sculpting. The course fosters self-expression, imagination, and skill development within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Description: The goal of the Mini Touro activity is to offer a calm, creative, and engaging space where students can enjoy structured free-time activities. Through board games, painting, drawing, and other hands-on experiences, students will develop social skills, creativity, and emotional regulation in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Description: Cheerleading is a sport that is under constant development in Brazil and around the world. Cheer is an extremely inclusive sport and has the ability to bring together all types of people and bodies. With stunts, pyramids, tumblings, dances, and jumps, it proposes a constant challenge to do something bigger every time.
Required Materials: Comfortable clothes that allow movement, sneakers, water bottle, and a hair tie (if needed).

Description: The goal of the Basketball activity is to develop physical fitness, teamwork, and strategic thinking through dynamic and engaging gameplay. Students will improve coordination, agility, and motor skills while learning the fundamentals of basketball in a supportive and fun environment.
Required Materials: Comfortable sportswear and hair tied.

Description: The goal of Lower School Soccer is for children to have a desire to play. We aim to develop physical literacy and basic skills through adopting a skills’ based coaching method. Teams play small-sided games, which allow players an opportunity to express enjoyment and to develop their skills and 4 phases of play. Players learn to respect their teammates, opponents, coaches and officials at this level. Sportsmanship is introduced and enforced with this team.
Required Materials: PE gray jersey, EAB black shorts, turf cleats, shin guards, black socks, hair tied, and sunscreen.
Grades: K5, G1 & G2
Description: The goal of the Ballet activity is to promote physical development, discipline, and artistic expression through dance. Students improve posture, coordination, and balance while exploring creativity and teamwork through rhythmic movement and choreography.
Required Materials: Ballet uniform, and hair tied back securely.
Grades: K5 & G1 | G2 & G3 | G4 & G5
Description: Jiu Jitsu will teach the BJJ fundamentals, such as takedowns, self-defense, respect for others, anti-bullying, respect the healthy life-style and more. Basically, it will take into consideration, adult BJJ curriculum, in a more fun and kid-friendly manner with a focus on defense and position. Students will learn how to work together as a team, while developing themselves as individuals. They will build on their self-esteem and self-discipline while learning to respect themselves and others. Girls and boys are combined for this team.
Required Materials: Jiu Jitsu Kimono, and hair tied back securely.

Description: Brain Games will support the whole child: We will work their fine motor skills though games such as Legos, Jenga, Math-related (and more) skills while working the learning process of the English language through games and quizzes, trying to make the kids have some fun while working though their all their abilities.
Grades: K5, G1 & G2
Description: We will develop not only one type of dance, but how the children have this as a reference in their life. We will always work together to make a class where children will not only learn a choreography, but also learn how their body moves, developing the dance presentation for the end of the semester.
Required Materials: Comfortable clothes that allow movement, water bottle, and a hair tie (if needed).

Description: The goal of the Capoeira activity is to promote body awareness, rhythm, and cultural appreciation through the movement and music. Students develop coordination, balance, respect, and cooperation while exploring self-expression through movement and traditional instruments.
Required Materials: Capoeira uniform.

Description: After research about the benefits of regularly playing chess for the intellectual and social-emotional enrichment for school children from 6-16 years old, it was found that chess improves cognitive abilities, coping and problem-solving capacity, and even socio-affective development of children and adolescents who practice it. It is with this in mind that for this school year, Chess will be a part of Club EAB for our Lower School students.
GUITAR
Guitar 1 & 2*

Description: Learning to play guitar at a young age can give kids a new appreciation for music and a creative outlet that they can use for the rest of their lives. Music itself is its own language. In fact, research has shown that children who learn to play an instrument, helps children to develop the left side of the brain, which is involved with understanding language -- and even learning a second language. Teaching kids to play guitar often requires a “fun-focused” approach compared to adults! This is what this club will strive to do. Guitars will be provided!
*Guitar 2 requires some guitar knowledge and skills.

Description: This course is structured to help children develop essential motor skills and coordination, including: Hand-Eye Coordination: Enhance the ability to coordinate hand and foot movements with vision while grasping and positioning on holds. Balance and Coordination: Improve balance and coordination through appropriate climbing movements and activities. Strength and Endurance: Build strength in the arms, legs, and core through playful and stimulating climbing activities. Flexibility and Mobility: Improve flexibility and mobility with climbing exercises that encourage wide and varied movements.
Regular Physical Activity: An exciting alternative to stay active and healthy.

DRAMA

Description: The objective is to give students a space to express their creative potential through different activities. Body and vocal expression, stimulus to narrative ability, group work and stage presence are the guidelines of Drama classes.

NHS TUTORING

Description: The NHS Tutoring Program provides Lower School students with focused support in English and Math. With small groups, sessions emphasize language learning, reading, and number sense, guided by High School student-tutors and a Club EAB assistant. This program fosters academic growth and collaboration across grade levels.

Description: The goal of the Parkour activity is to enhance body control, strength, and confidence through dynamic movement and obstacle-based challenges. Students will learn to run, jump, climb, and roll with precision and safety, while developing problem-solving skills, perseverance, and spatial awareness.
Required Materials: Comfortable clothes that allow movement, hair tied, and sunscreen.
STREET DANCE

Description: The goal of the Street Dance activity is to develop rhythm, confidence, and physical coordination through expressive urban dance styles. Students will explore movements from hip-hop, funk, and other street dance genres, while building teamwork, creativity, and stage presence in a fun and inclusive environment.
Required Materials: comfortable athletic clothing and sneakers suitable for indoor use.
Grades: G3, G4 & G5
Description: Children will learn about different sports and also practice basic skills from all of them, like throwing, running, kicking and different abilities, we will go over baseball, American football and basketball, making small sized games that can relate to them and develop those skills.

ROBOTICS

Description: The goal of the Robotics activity is to foster creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork through hands-on exploration of technology and engineering concepts. Students will learn to design, build, and program robots while developing critical thinking and collaboration skills in a fun and engaging environment.
LS ROCK BAND*
Grades: G4 & G5
Description: An interesting and challenging project based activity, in which students will learn to develop computer games also creating robots. Suitable for students who enjoy working in an environment that fosters problem solving, independence, and creativity.

VOLLEYBALL

Description: The goal of the Volleyball activity is to promote teamwork, coordination, and strategic thinking through engaging and inclusive gameplay. Students will learn the fundamentals of serving, passing, setting, and spiking, while developing communication skills and sportsmanship in a supportive environment.

MATH OLYMPIAD
Grade: G4 & G5
Description: Join our math program to learn to solve challenging math problems that you don't necessarily see in school! In this club we will explore problems such as those in the Math Olympiad, Math Kangaroo, and MathCounts competitions, and explore different strategies to approach these types of problems. You don't have to participate in math competitions to benefit from this club!
Grades: G4 & G5
Description: The Cooking Club is a fun and hands-on experience designed for students who enjoy exploring food, creativity, and teamwork. In this club, students will learn basic cooking skills through safe, no-heat recipes, focusing on cold and no-cook foods. The club emphasizes food safety, hygiene, measuring ingredients, following instructions, and working collaboratively. Cooking Club encourages creativity, responsibility, and confidence as students experiment with flavors and presentation in a safe and supervised environment.
