Transportation
Arrange transportation for students to and from Erie 1 BOCES for all scheduled PR/HYLI sessions.
Notify PR/HYLI trainers of any transportation issues or delays as early as possible.
Student Supervision and Support
Liaison Presence: District identified liaisons must stay with the students throughout the entirety of the PR/HYLI sessions.
Individual Student Support:
Provide assistance outside of PRHYLI training sessions on:
Understanding and discussing bills.
Completing assigned tasks and requirements.
For Seniors: Assisting with scholarship essays, including writing, revision, and submission.
Handling any required paperwork for participation in PR/HYLI or related opportunities.
Check in regularly on each student’s progress with PR/HYLI tasks and provide guidance or resources as needed.
Communication
Clear, Open Communication:
Maintain consistent and open communication with PRHYLI trainers regarding student progress, needs, and concerns.
Inform PRHYLI trainers of any challenges faced by students that may impact participation or task completion.
Provide updates on changes in transportation arrangements or district-specific requirements impacting student participation.
Share Relevant Information:
Share updates from the district with PR/HYLI trainers that may impact the program or student availability.
Additional Tasks
Facilitate Parental Communication: Act as a bridge between parents and the PRHYLI program, ensuring parents are aware of schedules, transportation arrangements, and any program requirements.
Resource Provision: Ensure students have access to the necessary resources (technology, printed materials, etc.) for PR/HYLI tasks and assignments.
Encourage Active Participation: Foster enthusiasm and motivation among students, helping them understand the impact of their involvement in PR/HYLI.
If selected to attend the Albany sessions, students will receive additional information, including travel details, preparation requirements, and guidelines for participation. We’ll provide all necessary resources to ensure students are fully prepared for this unique experience.
