The 3rd Annual IMPACT Expo hosted 275 middle and high school students from eleven local districts for a one-day conference at Buffalo State University. This event marked the end of a year-long class aimed at teaching students to use technology and creativity to solve real-world problems.
The event featured a keynote address from the winners of the first-ever Students to Start-Ups competition. The first-place winners from Pets and Found shared how they started their business and won the competition. Armaan Jain, the People’s Choice winner from the fashion line Bhai, talked about his journey to becoming a successful young entrepreneur.
At the IMPACT Expo, students showcase their independent projects, demonstrating creativity, critical thinking, and applied knowledge. Projects span various disciplines, including STEM, social entrepreneurship, environmental sustainability, and technology, reflecting students’ research, prototyping, and iterative development. The Expo highlights student agency, authentic learning experiences, and meaningful community engagement.
