Math Intervention

Our focus in Math Intervention this year will be on Number Sense, the Mathematical Practices, and Problem Solving. My goal is not only to help students understand math more, but to also develop a love for it!

Education Undergraduate: Northern Arizona University BS: Elementary Education Post-Graduate: Northern Arizona University MS: Counseling/ Human Relations

I was born and raised in Phoenix. After college, at NAU, I joined the Peace Corps and went to South Africa as a School and Community Resource Volunteer for two years. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

This will be my 18th year teaching. I spent two years teaching in 6th grade, two in 5th grade, six in 7th grade and this is my eighth year as a math interventionist. Dysart has been my home for my whole teaching career.

I have a daughter that will be a freshman this year and she keeps me busy! We love to travel, hike and have adventures!

I look forward to a great year!
