Socially Distanced Specials
Hello, Sunset Hills Families!
Though we are disappointed that we cannot conduct Specials classes as usual, we understand the need to keep our schools closed for the safety of our kids and community. During this time, however, we are thrilled to be able to continue to offer instruction in a new way. We have worked diligently over the past week to prepare lessons, activities, and materials online.
Please contact each of us directly for questions related to our classes or content. We know this type of learning is new for you, and that’s okay...this type of teaching is new for us. Our goal is not to overwhelm you or your students, but to be able to provide them with different learning opportunities throughout the day.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Grades K-2
You will complete activities for the Specials class that you would have attended in our weekly rotation. Check the list below to know which Specials class you are to "attend" this week, and then scroll down to each Specials teacher's section below to find the activities for this week. All PE class activities will be located in Coach Molett's section.

Hello! My Amazing Art Students! Art provides a means of expressing oneself, an escape, and a much needed brain break. That's why I have provided Choice Boards filled with different activities you can choose from depending on the materials you have at home and your interest. I will add more activities from time to time. You can do the activity in one day or spread it out throughout the week. It's up to you. Once you have finished with your project, you can send me a picture to my email address. 3rd and 4th grade will find the projects in their Art Schoology page with directions on how to submit their project. I am in the process of making YouTube videos for some more detailed art instruction for those who want more. *Visit my teacher webpage for the link. I am excited to see what you create and remember...have fun!

iExplore - Mr. Hewitt (richard.hewitt@dysart.org)
All iExplore work is STEM projects that can be done in one day, or worked on through out the week. They should not take more than an hour to build. There is a list of suggested material for each project, but you may use whatever you have at home. If you do not have any material you may draw a detailed blueprint, which is a picture with labels. Once you are finished with the project send me a picture or video of it along with your first and last name and homeroom teachers name to my email address. Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grade will find the link for their project here. Just click on your teachers name. 3rd through 8th grade will find it on their iExplore Schoology page. Thank you.
This week May 11th- 14th is a make up week. If you have not already done the project for your grade level then complete it this week. If you have finished it then you do not have any work for my class this week.

Welcome to the new online learning for specials. We do not want this to cause more stress and anxiety that you may already be feeling.
