To qualify for the Arizona State Seal of Personal Finance Proficiency, a student will complete: 

1. Complete all Social Studies requirements for graduation with GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent.

2. Complete all of the following activities:

   1. • Completion of an approved personal finance program or curriculum (Learning) 

        • • • Students in DUSD are provided access to the Everfi Financial Literacy Course to meet this requirement. 

            • The Economics teacher supports students in completion

      • Passage of an assessment(s) of personal finance (Proof of Proficiency) 

        • • • DUSD Utilizes Everfi to support with this requirement

      • Participation in a co-curricular or extracurricular program (Beyond Required Econ Class) 

        • • • Students are provided the opportunity to compete in the Stock Market Game from ACEE

      • Completion of a college/career readiness plan

        • • • Students complete their ECAP, FAFSA, AVID Elective Course and/or CTE verification to meet this requirement

Verification of completion is done in conjunction with the economics teachers, school counselors, and district coordinator to award the Seal.
