To qualify for the Arizona State Seal of Personal Finance Proficiency, a student will complete:
Complete all Social Studies requirements for graduation with GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent.
Complete all of the following activities:
Passage of an assessment. The student shall attain the required score on one personal finance assessment as adopted by the State Board of Education, defined by the Arizona Department of Education, for purposes of demonstrating personal finance proficiency.
Free assessment through CEE and other organizations
EverFi Cumulative Financial Literacy Exam (Completed in Econ Courses)
Personal Finance-related Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) objective tests and exams such as:
FBLA-Personal Finance
DECA - DECA Personal Finance Literacy Exam
Completion of an approved Personal Finance Program. The student shall complete one of the personal finance programs as adopted by the State Board of Education, defined by the Arizona Department of Education, for purposes of demonstrating personal finance proficiency.
