FFBI is a school wide behavior system that is designed to increase student success and decrease disruptive behaviors while creating a positive school culture.
We are a #FalconFamily that demonstrates respect, responsibility and kindness in and outside the classroom.
Students can earn Falcon Wings as they demonstrate these behaviors around campus from all staff members. Falcon Wings will be entered into drawings that will be held daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly in the classroom, as well as school wide.
Students that do not follow the behavior expectations of being respectful, responsible, and kind will be held accountable using the following behavior flowchart.
The behaviors are tracked over a two week time period.
The first time a student does not follow a specific behavior, they are given a reminder of the school wide expectations and marked on the tracking form.
The second time they do not follow the specific behavior, they are retaught the appropriate behavior and marked on the tracking form.
The third time they do not follow the specific behavior, they are sent to a buddy room to complete a reflection form and marked on the tracking form.
The fourth time they do not follow the specific behavior, they will lose their afternoon recess and you will be contacted. They will also be marked on the tracking form.
The fifth time they do not follow the specific behavior, a referral will be written and they will be marked on the tracking form.
At the end of the two week period, students will then start over with a clean slate and the process begins again.
This is the language that we use on campus if you would like to also use this language at home to reinforce these expectations: “Thank you for being (respectful/responsible/kind) by …” For example: Thank you for being respectful by listening and following directions the first time.
