Hello my name is Mayra Carranza and I’m very excited to get this school year started. I believe math is fun, but a difficult concept for many students. It is my goal to illustrate to students that math is not as difficult as they think it is. It is a concept that we use everyday without realizing it. I strongly believe that any child can succeed in math and that is my job this school year! I am looking forward to this adventure and seeing growth in each student.

I believe that a child’s success is dependent upon open communication between the teacher, parent, and child. I really hope I can make this year enjoyable and interesting. Please do not hesitate to call or email me with any questions or concerns.

Work Experience

This would be my 7th year in education. I taught 7th grade math, Special Education Resource grades K -8th including self-contained. This would be my 5th year teaching 8th grade math. I been the boys soccer coach for the last 4 year, we took the district championship back in 2016 with an undefeated season.
