Hello all! My name is Rick Albin, and I will be teaching 7th and 8th Grade Math for the 2023-2024 school year at Cimarron Springs Middle School. To start with, I do not know who those people are in the banner. They are not related to me, but hey, it was a nice picture. This will be my fifth year teaching, and my first year at Cimarron.

I am originally from New York and went to Shepherd University in West Virginia, where I met my beautiful wife (she is reading this). We moved out to Arizona in 2007 and have three beautiful kiddos. I have always had a desire to teach and got my opportunity to be in a classroom right before the hit of COVID. During my previous four years of teaching, I have taught 7th grade Math up to 10th grade Geometry. A very common comment that I get from my students is that "I do not normally like Math, but going through your class, Math is so much more easier and fun to work with!"

I run my classroom as a tight-ship, but we have fun in the process. My door is always open for those that need more assistance, or just want to chill. My expectations are simple: copy the notes from the board and use them during the lesson, have academic conversations in your group, and complete the assigned work. If you do all of these, you will have a rock solid year! Let's get rocking!

And this is what I somewhat look like, but not animated:
