As the school year is beginning, please have your student check their case and make sure their instrument and equipment is ready to go for another school year! Are all the pieces there and in working condition? Also, create a luggage tag with a your name and homeroom teacher on it so if your instrument gets lost at recess, during lunch, on the bus, etc, we can help the poor thing find his way back to you! :-)

Suggestions:

Box of reeds (each students should have 5 good reeds ready to go at all times - I recommend Vandoren reeds 2.5 for beginners and 3 for advanced)

Reed guards (reeds cost money, this inexpensive case helps to protect your investment)

Valve Oil (brass players)

New music books (solo literature with accompaniment CD)

Metronome and Tuner (check for free apps on your smart phone and apple/droid devices)
