About the Teacher

My name is Tricha Borland. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Secondary English Education from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, MN and I've been teaching since 2009. In 2010 my husband joined the United States Air Force and that brought us to Surprise. Though moving from the Land of 10,000 Lakes to the Valley of the Sun was a huge change for us, we love it here. I spend my time cooking and baking, reading, watching hockey (Go Yotes!), and hiking the beautiful trails around Arizona. We have have an orange tabby cat named Charlie who tends to be very grumpy and a German Shorthaired Pointer named Evinrude who has nearly as much horsepower as the boat motor after which she was named. It's so exciting to work with all of my students and their familes this year! Go Monsoon!
