Hi Everyone!

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am really excited to be teaching biology here at Shadow Ridge High School this year.

Just a little bit about me...I am an Arizona native and grew up in Flagstaff. I have a Bachelor's degree in Biology from ASU (go Sun Devils!!!) and I have a Master's degree in Science Teaching from NAU. I have been teaching since 2001 and during that time I have taught middle school and high school science as well as college biology. Even though I love all areas of science, biology has always been my favorite branch of it because we get to study so many different things - from the teeny tiny DNA that makes us who we are to the ways that organisms depend on one another in large ecosystems.

I live in Waddell with my two kids and my boyfriend, David. Kody is a junior and Jilliann is a freshman. We have four crazy dogs, a feisty cat, two noisy parakeets, and a very friendly horse. When we aren't at school you can usually find us near water - in a pool, at the lake, or down in Mexico.
