Ms. Nieto

Welcome to Fifth Grade! My name is Ms. Nieto and I will be your teacher this year. I have been at Mountain View for eight years now and this is my 15th year teaching in the Dysart District.

I am an Arizona native and enjoy summers (yes, even the heat!). Over summer break, I love spending time with family, going on roadtrips, and preparing for the next school year.

Fifth Grade is a wonderful time in your life. You will experience an incredible amount of growth and have many opportunities for great accomplishments and success throughout the year. We will be working as a team to help ensure your continued success here at MVS. We will be learning some really cool things in class this year! We will also learn some life skills which include: learning to budget your time, working cooperatively, developing good study habits, and striving to achieve your highest potential.

Parents: Together we can work to make this year a huge success. I look forward to meeting you and beginning our partnership in supporting your child’s learning needs. Please remember that we kick off the school year with a Meet the Teacher Night on August 1st from 4:15-6:00PM.

• 2 packs of pencils (Ticonderoga)

• Highlighter

• 1 Glue stick

• 1 pack of Dry Erase Markers

• 1 Pair of Small Scissors (without a pointed end)

• 1 Pack of Colored Pencils (12 max.)

• Headphones
