Our Facilitators

Ms. Asheka Tenzin is the Academic Director for the D Y Patil International Schools. She has over 25 years of teaching experience. She is an online workshop facilitator for the IB. She visits IB schools as a IBAP MYP School visiting team member. She specialises in teacher mentoring and building Continuum IB schools.

Mr. Jason Reagin has been teaching since 1998. Originally from the US, he has taught in China, Bermuda and South Korea, where he is currently. Since 2003, Jason has been working in IB schools and has been an IB MYP workshop leader, consultant, school visit team leader, and field representative since 2008. Jason's specialization is in MYP Design, but he has also taught DP Design Technology and is currently the IBCP Coordinator at Chadwick International in Incheon, South Korea. He has a passion for travel, cooking and spending time with his family

Mr. Ali Hassan is from the UK and currently the Director of Learning and Teaching at SEK International School Qatar. He is a member of the International Baccalaureate Educator Network (IBEN) for the PYP, MYP and DP in various roles, such as visits team leader, consultant, workshop leader and curriculum contributor for the IB programmes. Ali is also an education consultant who is involved in supporting school organisations with school start-up, development projects, teacher and leadership training. Ali is also the founder of Sky Educate (www.skyeducate.com), which was established in 2014 to support schools and educators globally.

Ali continues his doctorate (EdD) studies with the supervision of Professor David Hopkins in the UK. The research is dedicated to the IB Research Department. Ms. Ingur Shefalika has been a part of the international teaching and learning community for about 18 years. In this time, she has worked as a IGCSE/IBDP Geography/Global Perspectives facilitator, MYP Coordinator and Senior Management Team member in some of the best international schools in India and abroad. She been a part of the core team, which helped set up two very reputed international schools in the country. Training teachers and supervising teams that design and write curriculum to keep up with the needs of the 21st century learners has always been a key part of her job.

The reason she is still an educator in this cynical world is her strong belief that if facilitated correctly, only education will bring about the change we want see in this world. And this what keeps her going.

Ms. Salma El-Hoshee is a pharmacist and a PGCEi holder. She has 12 years of teaching experience, 6 of which were in IB schools. She has participated in 4 different IB workshops from which she has learnt a lot about different pedagogies and got inspired by ATL skills development. Salma's teaching style follows the constructivist approach and she likes to be up to date with new teaching methodologies. She believes that an educator's role as a facilitator is to equip their students with skills, mindsets and experiences to let them cherish their learning journeys and become lifelong learners.

Ms. Sherwet Adel is an MYP Principal & Coordinator. With over 11 years’ experience in the educational field, Ms. Sherwet has built a solid reputation amongst educators in the IB sector of Egypt. Ms. Sherwet is an IB leader and workshop facilitator who volunteers to share her knowledge about the MYP with other instructional leaders both within the local community and other IB schools worldwide. She has a certificate in School Management Leadership from Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is a National Geographic Certified Educator “Integrating Service with Learning Goals”. She has a certificate of Concept Based Curriculum and Instruction by a licensed trainer by Lynn Erickson, she was a former part-time instructor at the AUC school of continuing education and currently studying her Master's Degree in International Education at University of South Wales.

Ms. Sonia Singh is the PYP Coordinator at Prometheus School. She has a B.Sc (Chemistry Honours) degree from St. Stephens College, Delhi University and a Master’s in Education. She is a trained Instructional designer and content writer having created training modules and trained in person, corporate employees and teachers. She has an experience of over 12 years of working with some of the well known CBSE, Cambridge and IBPYP schools like Step By Step School, Pathways School and The Ardee School. She has undergone various IB and Cambridge workshops, and has built her own repertoire of practices for teaching learning. She has also undergone various other training modules and is continuously upskilling herself in different pedagogies. She is also a certified National Geographic Educator. She conducts regular webinars and workshops for teachers across all schools to share best philosophies for effective student learning and teacher well being.

Sonia Singh believes strongly in the inquiry based learning to empower the students’ role in learning. Her constant endeavor is to make learning meaningful and support innovation and connection amongst educators.

Ms. Sakhi Kochar is the PYP Coordinator and MYP Science Teacher at Norlights International School, Oslo. As an educationist and a proactive professional she has 15 years of work experience in education. Prior to this she was working with Oakridge International School, Mohali, India. Here in Oslo she works towards mapping the curriculum in close coordination for the PYP based on the needs of the MYP section. She organises inhouse teacher workshops, parent workshops and has also conducted workshops for the students in international teacher education school to understand the philosophy of IB program. Catering to an individual child's needs and interests is her strong area of expertise. She follows the multiple intelligence theory in her teaching and learning strategies and strongly believes that students learn through a variety of ways.

Therefore she follows the "HAPPY Model" (title)which she would like to share during the session.

Ms. Mary Chacko is the HOD-Sciences at the Navrachana International School, Vadodara. She is an educator since 30 years and has facilitated learning in IB, IGCSE, CBSE and State board schools across the country. She possesses a Masters in Physics and Education and has conducted workshops for student teachers to develop skills during their teacher training. Mary is an IB DP Examiner for Higher Level Physics and strives to pursue her interest in polishing learning skills among students. She is a strong advocate towards creating an enriched environment for the teacher and the taught. An experienced Quiz Master, she has conducted General Knowledge, Science and Mathematics quizzes at school and district level and continues to work towards building an holistic learning environment.

Ms. Aditi Shah has been in the field of education since the past 11 years. She started out as a French facilitator to then taking on the additional role of a Spanish facilitator 6 years ago. She really enjoys learning and teaching foreign languages as she believes that good linguistic and intercultural communication skills are vital in the rapidly changing world of international education.

In addition to teaching new languages, she has also taken up the responsibility of the Cambridge IGCSE coordinator where she uses her knowledge and experience to streamline and design the curriculum for Gr. 6 to 10.

She likes to be as innovative as she could in her work, implementing student-centred approaches and new teaching methodologies and disseminating her knowledge to the fullest and helping students develop 21st century skills and a passion for lifelong learning.

Ms. Shachi Koppikar is a qualified Clinical Psychologist and a Psychotherapist. She has been working for more than 6 years with ICSE, IGCSE and IB board of schools as a School Counsellor. Currently, she is associated with D Y Patil International School, Worli. She also holds experience in Psychological Testing & Diagnosis and facilitating Psychotherapy sessions catering to the needs of people from an age range of 5 years to 60 years. She practices with a holistic approach incorporating techniques from Integral Somatic Psychology, NLP, REBT, Choice theory and Reality Therapy in her Counselling sessions aiming at empowering her clients to deal effectively with their life situations . She has conducted various workshops on Mental health related issues. She is a Lifelong learner and believes in 'Growth throughout Life.'

Ms. Priyanka Thakur is an ICT Facilitator at D Y Patil International School, Worli. She has 7 years of teaching experience in ICSE and IGCSE schools. She has a Master’s Degree in Information Technology, and Diploma in Cyber Law. She believes in upskilling herself regularly. Recently she has been recognized as a Microsoft Certified Educator for Technology Literacy for Educators – 21 Century Learning Design. She keeps herself up to date with technology that would make the teaching learning process fun and engaging for the young minds.

Mr. Abhinandan Bhattacharya is a Secondary school teacher of English Language and Literature training students at the CAIE and IBDP levels at JBCN International School, Oshiwara, Mumbai. He has been honoured with several professional merits in the form of Nation Builder Award by the Rotary Club of Mumbai and the Dedicated Teacher Award 2019 by Cambridge University Press in a campaign run by the University of Cambridge and CUP witnessing more than 40,000 nominations from across 150 countries worldwide. He is a published poet and writer winning the National level Poetry Writing Competition in 2019 organised by Story Mirror Schools Writing Competition. Today, he is a certified teacher trainer, a resource person with Collins Learning India, CUP and MISA and a mentor not only to his learners but to countless teachers as well. He is also one of the esteemed editors of The Impish Lass Publishing House, Mumbai.

Ms. Parvana Guliyeva has been working as an IB Educator over a decade. She is keen about being involved in active school communities that provide opportunities for teachers to share their knowledge and exchange information. Parvana participated in PYP Connect meetings as a workshop leader in South East Asia. She has experience with leading several workshops in South East Asia like in Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Parvana is currently working as a PYP Educator at International Sharing School -Taguspark in Portugal. She believes that part of her success relies on the particular characteristics of the International Baccalaureate Programme. Parvana is currently a National Geographic Certified Educator. She is also certified for Teaching the English Language by Oxford University, Department for Continuing Education.

She has a passion for photography.

Ms. Tracy Waller teaches MYP English at Edubridge International School, Mumbai. She is the English Head of Department and the Personal Project Coordinator. She has a Master of Arts Degree in English Literature, a Bachelor of Education and has completed a number of IB workshops. Tracy has initiated a Literacy Club and an Annual Literacy Week for all MYP students. Tracy believes that professional growth is mirrored in sharing resources. She encourages inquiry through hands-on experience, collaborative activities and differentiation. Her creative and engaging learning environments help bring about an appreciation towards growing independence and skill building in the secondary school.

Ms. Mansi Gandhi is an MYP Sciences and DP Environmental Systems and Societies Teacher at Edubridge International School, Mumbai. She is a former visiting faculty lecturer in the Department of Biotechnology at St. Xavier's College, in Mumbai. She started her full-time career in IB education in 2016 at Edubridge International School, and also worked as an MYP Science Teacher at Ascend International School. She has past experience as an ATL Coordinator in both her previous roles.

On completion of her Master of Science in Biostatistics (focus in Epidemiological Methods) from Macquarie University in Sydney, Mansi worked in the field of scientific research and development, for over five years.

Ms. Saibhavya Prabu has done Masters in Biomedical Genetics from Vellore Institute of Technology. She started her career as a researcher in Oral Cancer Institute (ACTREC) and has teaching experience in international curriculum for more than 10 years. Her goal is to contribute to Science education by utilizing her skills and expertise in Biology and Environmental sciences in the field of Education. She is trained in concept based curriculum by Lynn Erickson and Lois Lanning. At present, she is an ATL skills coordinator at NES International School, Mumbai. She has been working as an examiner for IB and CAIE curriculum.

Ms. Archana Mehra (M.Ed) is a homeroom teacher collaborator at Oberoi International School, Mumbai. She has been facilitating IB PYP students for 10 years. She is honored to be a teacher of the primary level and enjoys her profession as monotony never sets into this profession because each child is God’s special creation to be nurtured. Each day unfolds a new learning experience for the teacher. So there’s no juncture in a teacher’s life that she can claim as reached her zenith.

Ms. Ruchita Patel has pursued her Masters in M.Tech (Embedded Systems) and Bachelors in B.Tech (ECE) from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University- Hyderabad. She always enjoyed studying Mathematics and watching how others experience Mathematics. She has experienced changing views of teaching and learning Mathematics over the last 8 years. Her focus has been on the interplay of conceptual understanding and procedural understanding. She looks forward to studying that interplay and researching how 21 century needs affect and define Mathematics teaching and learning. What is Mathematics in the 21st century? What is the focus of mathematical needs in a global society? How can the teaching and learning of Mathematics capitalize on problem solving and critical thinking? She looks forward to meeting new people and discussing new ideas.

Mr. Prakash Kumar IB PYP/MYP/DP Physical & Health education and SEHS Team leader, worked at Pathways School, Gurgaon. Teaching experience for IB/A /AS level Physical education for the last 10 years. Having attended around 5 IB workshops PYP/MYP/DP at various levels to add the IB learning experience. Passion for Curriculum development and research work, reading, travelling and learning & sharing new perspectives towards any concepts.

Ms. Kirtida Kale is an educator for more than 14 years with IB PYP expertise for 9+ years. She is currently working as a PYP Coordinator for Crossroads International School based in Udaipur. She has a proclivity and passion for all things inquiry. She is a Learning Transfers Endorsed Educator and Facilitator, Wakelet Community Leader, Empowered Digital Leader and an Adobe Creative Educator (Level 2). She is constantly looking for ideas to develop the four Cs - Creativity, Collaboration, Communication and Critical Thinking in her learners. She believes in leveraging relationships in the classroom to foster lifelong learners. She enjoys sketchnoting and is an advocate of Making Thinking Visible. In her free time she can be seen on Twitter collaborating with educators from all over the world and upskilling herself through courses and workshops.

Ms. Zenia Kollah currently works as an Educator with D Y Patil International School, Worli. A theatre artist and national-level debater, Zenia has worked in the field of Education and Learning and Development for over ten years; developing content and teaching in various schools, colleges and universities across the country - shaping young minds with a focus on building a strong value system among her students. She also conducts corporate trainings in the capacity of an English Language Expert. She loves children, good books, the outdoors and has a passion for culinary arts!

Ms. Archana Singh has been working as the Personal Projects Coordinator with the International School of North America, HCMC, Vietnam. She has also worked with Indus International School, Hyderabad in the role of IBMYP Projects Coordinator with 80% of the class securing grades above the world average. She also trained supervisors to lead and support the student's projects and evaluated IBMYP Personal Projects as an International Baccalaureate examiner. She has also worked closely supporting the authorization of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years program as the grade leader and subject leader. She also works on a part-time basis delivering modules for the PGCEi course conducted by Liverpool John Moors University where she evaluates the student's work and grades according to the standards and practices prescribed by the university. She has also evaluated assignments as a CACHE assessor for Level 3 and delivered CACHE qualifications in supporting teaching and learning at EYFS Levels 2, 3, and 5. One of the recent collaborations was with the Lead School (India) in organizing and executing digital smart classes for the low budget schools.

Having experience of about 16 years in the field of education, she firmly believes that facilitators are at the core of the system of education and it's significant to work closely with the co-educators. A whole generation of self-motivated and inspired educators have the power to transform and bring about desired changes in the world by demonstrating the core values of love, empathy, respect, and care.

Ms. Anupma Diddi is a ‘Learning and Development’ consultant who headed the ‘Academic Training’ vertical of a reputed school chain and was the Vice principal of Billabong International school in her earlier roles. A member of the CAIE family for nearly fifteen years, she started teaching First Language English and Literature to IGCSE and A level students in the very first year that this international program commenced in Mumbai. She is also an examiner, a master trainer and has conducted ‘Capacity building programmes’ for nearly 2000+ individuals ranging from pre-school faculty to Principals; parents to CEOs; individual schools to leading organisations.

In the past few years ‘Reading and Speaking Skill development’ for adults, particularly teachers, has been the key focus because of her strong belief about the important role of A.S.K. Attitude, Skill and Knowledge, she reiterates, is the guiding beacon while speaking, hence demands more attention than given, for classroom transactions.
