I am the Library Information Specialist at Dyersburg Primary School. This is my 28th year of teaching. I have enjoyed teaching several grade levels but the majority of my time in the classroom has been served in first grade. I have my Masters in Reading from Grand Canyon University. I am also a trained Reading Intervention Specialist. Last year was my eighth year serving as the Library Media Specialist and I absolutely love it. I completed my Library Media Specialist Certification in the Fall of 2018 at the University of Memphis.

Once again, I am looking to serve as the Dyersburg Primary School Library Information Specialist for the 2025-2026 academic year. I am here to serve the students as well as the teachers of D.P.S. I am planning to be extremely involved in assisting you with resources that will complement the instructional content of all grade levels at Dyersburg Primary School. I look forward to working with you all.

The Dyersburg Primary School Library Mission Statement: The library media center is a place where students and faculty members can come to find resources to read for pleasure, information, and research; to provide reading and writing activities and projects to increase student achievement; to provide resources to reflect the needs of all grade levels; to collaborate professional with all teachers at all grade levels to teach lessons and projects to achieve grade level objectives and information literacy skills; and most importantly, it is a place to read.
