Photosynthesis

Photosynthesis is the process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water. Students should develop an understanding of light dependent and light independent reactions. Photosynthesis in plants generally involves the green pigments chlorophyll a and b that generates oxygen as a byproduct.
