Welcome Message
Three dimensional art is especially beneficial to young people – it helps promote self-confidence, encourages self-expression and develops problem-solving skills. Our classroom is equipped to use a number of techniques for ceramics and sculpture. My classes focus on hand building, wheel work, and sculpture. I encourage my students to create artwork using a variety of materials. Creating something three dimensional stimulates the imagination; as you create an object you reveal an aspect of yourself. My classroom allows students to build their own toolbox of techniques. Each assignment will have a theme and help students develop not only their problem solving skills, but also their art theory, and narrative skills.
