Cardinal Care is the district’s new after school care program. The program starts on the first day of school, August 9, 2023 for students in elementary school. Cardinal Care is an optional fee-based child care programming operating for the duration of the school year and on early release days.

• The program is only available to students enrolled at a Del Valle ISD elementary school. 

• The after school care program is in addition to the district LEAD program.

Important information about Cardinal Care

Days of operation: Monday through Friday on days when school is in session

Locations: All DVISD elementary schools

Grades: Pre-K through 5th

Time: Students must be picked up no later than 6 p.m. (4 pm on early release days)

Costs: All rates are per student per month. Pay here.

Regular Rate: $250 

DVISD Staff Member: $200

Free and Reduced Lunch: $150

Fridays Only: $50
