Essential Questions: What is identity? What makes each of us who we are?

All About Me: Collage Projects

Students created collages that identified at least six items or pictures to represent themselves. These items were anything from photos of friends and family, to candy wrappers, to a picture of a basketball. The students wrote a few sentences about each item to explain why it was an important part of who they were. For our first project of the year, the results were amazing, and gave a window into the identities of our new fifth grade students.
