Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Chandler School. We love having family members join our classrooms to help in various capacities. In order to make sure we are doing so in the safest way possible, we ask that all volunteers complete the steps outlined below. If you have any questions, please review our Frequently Asked Questions page and reach out to your classroom parent with any questions that remain unanswered.

Make sure you have an updated CORI form with the Duxbury Public Schools. (Unfortunately, we cannot accept CORIs from other organizations, such as youth sports, other school districts, etc.).
CORI Forms can be printed here, or picked up at any main office in the district. You can complete the form at home but will need to come to any of the schools' main offices to submit the form and present your ID to have a copy made.
A cleared CORI is good for three years. If you are unsure if your CORI is up to date, please call the main office; 781-934-7680.
Sign up on the PTA Website with your contact information and sign the Confidentiality Statement each year.
Please fill out the PTA Volunteer Information Form that includes the Confidentiality Statement we ask all volunteers to sign each year.
Complete a virtual Volunteer Orientation (only once in your entire time with Duxbury Public Schools).Â
If you EVER have completed a Volunteer Orientation for any of your children in the past, you do not have to complete one again. If this is your first time volunteering with the Duxbury Public Schools, please sign up here to review important information prior to volunteering.
If you have completed the steps above, you have done everything you need to do to volunteer. Your classroom parent communicates with the classroom teacher to let them know who is eligible to volunteer. Some classroom teachers organize volunteers and others have their classroom parent organize opportunities for them. Either way, most volunteer opportunities begin to occur in October after the class has had a chance to become settled in their routines. Thank you again for your interest and your support!
