Mission: Our mission is to grow and develop meaningful friendships between people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their non-disabled peers.
Activities Include: We plan monthly activities that often include bowling, seeing a movie, watching theater performances, game nights, etc. Every year we organize a school-wide talent show, and we have a semi-formal dance for members of our club. It's so fun!

There will be three types of membership for the 2023-2024 school year:
Bud: A student with an intellectual or developmental disability who is paired in friendship with a Peer Bud.
Peer Bud: A student without an intellectual or developmental disability who is paired in friendship with a Bud. A Peer Bud must commit to: 1) communicate with their Bud minimally 1x/week (phone call, email, text, letter, card, etc.); 2) spend quality time minimally 2x/month (meeting for lunch, getting together for an activity before or after school, meeting up outside of school, or attending club events).
Peer Buds must also complete an interview. We have a limited number of Peer Bud positions available; therefore, not everyone who applies will be accepted. We apologize.
Bud Brigade: A student without an intellectual or developmental disability who will take initiative to spend time with Buds in school (lunch, unified PE, etc.) and at school events (dances, sporting events, etc.). This individual member will also be invited to participate in large group club events. You do not need to interview for this position.
